Full details
The Korum Ready Heli Kits are designed for specimen anglers who require a fast, efficient, and reliable helicopter rig setup. These kits provide a complete, all-in-one solution for quick-change setups, offering excellent anti-tangle performance for big fish angling. While the pre-assembled nature of the kit saves significant time on the bank, users must ensure their chosen line diameter is compatible with the Mega Grip Stops to maintain security during the cast.

FAQs
How many rigs are in a pack?
Each pack contains three complete Ready Heli Kits.
Can I use this with braided mainlines?
These kits are primarily optimized for monofilament and fluorocarbon lines; check that the Mega Grip Stops provide enough friction if using braided line.
Is this kit suitable for Chod rigs?
Yes, the helicopter configuration is ideal for Chod rigs as it allows the hooklink to rotate freely around the main line.
How do I change the hooklink?
Simply slide the anti-tangle sleeve up, remove the old link from the quick-change bead, and slide the new one on before replacing the sleeve.
Are the components reusable?
The beads and sleeves are reusable, though the grip stops may need replacing if they lose tension after extensive use.
Troubleshooting
Swivel bead sliding on the main line
Check that the Mega Grip Stops are pushed firmly against the bead and ensure your mainline diameter is within the recommended range.
Rig tangling during casts
Ensure the Anti-Tangle Sleeve is pushed fully onto the quick-change bead and check that the hooklink is not overly long.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Significantly reduces rig construction time
- High resistance to tangles during casting
- Compatible with a variety of hooklink materials
- Compact and easy to store in tackle boxes
- Quick-change system increases fishing efficiency
Cons
- Requires specific line diameters for optimal grip
- Limited to three kits per pack
- Not suitable for extremely heavy duty mainline setups
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the system, thread your mainline through the components provided, ensuring the Mega Grip Stops are positioned firmly against the bead to prevent movement. Always check the tension of the grip stops before casting to ensure they are seated correctly on the line.
Compatibility: These kits work best with standard monofilament or fluorocarbon mainlines. For care, rinse the components in fresh water after use in brackish or saltwater environments to prevent grit buildup in the swivel bead. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the plastic components.
