FAQs

Does the Size S frame use 29-inch wheels?

No, the Size S model uses 27.5-inch wheels as part of the Cube Size Split geometry to ensure better fit and handling for shorter riders.

Can I attach a child seat or rack to this bike?

Yes, the frame includes mounting points for racks and fenders, allowing for added utility like commuting or light bikepacking.

How long does the 800Wh battery last?

Range depends on rider weight, terrain, elevation gain, and assist mode, but the 800Wh capacity is designed for long-range, all-day mountain riding.

Is the bike suitable for wet-weather riding?

Yes, the components are weather-resistant, and the 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power even in wet conditions.

Can I update the Bosch motor software myself?

Software updates typically require an authorized dealer tool to ensure full compatibility and proper installation.

Troubleshooting

Motor assistance feels inconsistent or cuts out

Check that the battery is securely seated and that the speed sensor magnet on the rear wheel is correctly aligned with the sensor.

Brakes feel spongy or have reduced stopping power

The hydraulic lines may need to be bled to remove trapped air; if the pads are contaminated, they should be replaced.

Error code appears on the Bosch display

Note the error code and refer to the Bosch manual or contact a certified Cube service center to diagnose the specific electronic fault.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Proper setup involves adjusting the air pressure in the RockShox fork and shock based on your specific body weight to ensure 25-30% sag. The Shimano XT drivetrain should be kept clean and lubricated to preserve shifting precision. Because of the sophisticated Bosch electronic system, software updates should be performed by an authorized dealer. For long-term care, ensure the battery is stored in a cool, dry environment when not in use for extended periods and avoid power-washing the motor and battery contact points directly to prevent moisture ingress.
