FAQs

Can I use any floor cleaner in the reservoir?

Yes, you can use most water-based floor cleaners, provided they are not overly thick or corrosive, which could damage the internal spray mechanism.

How often should I wash the microfibre pads?

It is recommended to wash the pads after every major cleaning session to ensure the mop remains sanitary and continues to lift dirt effectively.

Is this mop suitable for unsealed wood floors?

No, this mop is intended for sealed hard floors. Using it on unsealed wood may lead to water damage.

Where can I buy replacement mop pads?

Replacement pads are available through major retailers that stock the Minky brand and through authorized online distributors.

Can the reservoir be removed for cleaning?

Yes, the reservoir is designed to be easily removed for quick refilling and rinsing.

Troubleshooting

The spray trigger is not dispensing liquid.

Check that the reservoir is fully inserted and the nozzle is not blocked by dried debris. Try flushing the nozzle with warm water.

The mop head keeps coming off during use.

Ensure the velcro-style fasteners on the base are clean and free of lint. Press the pad firmly onto the base to ensure a secure connection.

The floor feels sticky after mopping.

You may be using too much cleaning solution. Dilute your solution with more water or ensure you are wiping the area dry with a clean pad.

Pros and Cons

No heavy water bucket required
Effective reach for corners and skirting boards
Environmentally friendly with washable, reusable pads
Customizable cleaning solution use

Cons

Requires manual refilling of the reservoir for large areas

Microfibre pads need to be air-dried to maintain shape

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the mop, snap the handle sections together until they click into place and attach the microfibre pad to the base. It is compatible with most hard floor surfaces, including sealed laminate, vinyl, and tile. To care for your mop, rinse the reservoir after use if you plan on storing it for long periods to prevent solution build-up. Wash the microfibre pads at 40 degrees Celsius, but avoid using fabric softeners, as these can degrade the cleaning performance of the fibres. Always store the mop in an upright position or hung by its handle clip in a dry area to keep the base clean.
