Yes, the USB-C connector is fully compatible with iPhone 15 and 16 models for file transfers and direct video recording.
No, it is a true plug-and-play device and does not require any additional drivers or software.
Yes, it is compatible with both systems provided the drive is formatted in a system like exFAT.
The zinc alloy serves as a heat sink, which helps dissipate heat generated during high-speed transfers. It is normal for the drive to feel warm during heavy use.
You can expect read speeds up to 570MB/s and write speeds up to 520MB/s, depending on the host device's hardware limitations.
Ensure the connector is fully extended and clicked into position. Try re-inserting the drive or testing it on a different port to rule out hardware port issues.
Verify that you are plugging the drive into a USB 3.0 or higher port. Using an older USB 2.0 port will significantly throttle the performance.
Check the file system format. If using across multiple operating systems, ensure the drive is formatted to exFAT, which is natively supported by Windows, Mac, and mobile OS.
Setting up the drive is straightforward: simply plug the desired connector into the host device's port. Because it uses a plug-and-play architecture, the system will automatically mount the drive as a removable volume. To maintain the life of the drive, always 'eject' or 'safely remove' the hardware from your operating system before physically disconnecting it to prevent data corruption. While the zinc alloy body is shock-resistant, avoid exposing the sliding connectors to excessive moisture or magnetic fields. Keep the connectors clean of lint by blowing them out occasionally with compressed air if kept in a pocket.
