Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: Before use, always consult your vehicle's owner's manual to confirm that the TotalEnergies Quartz Ineo RCP 5w-30 is the specified oil grade and meets the required manufacturer approvals (e.g., ACEA C2/C3, API SN, manufacturer-specific standards). Using the incorrect oil can lead to reduced performance and potential engine damage.
Setup (Oil Change):
- Ensure the engine is warm but not hot to facilitate oil flow.
- Safely lift and support the vehicle.
- Locate and remove the oil drain plug.
- Allow old oil to drain completely into a suitable container.
- Replace the drain plug with a new washer if recommended.
- Remove the old oil filter.
- Lubricate the rubber seal of the new oil filter with a thin film of new oil.
- Screw on the new oil filter until hand-tight, then follow filter manufacturer instructions for final tightening.
- Refill the engine with the correct amount of new oil (refer to manual for capacity), using the TotalEnergies Quartz Ineo RCP 5w-30.
- Start the engine and check for leaks. Allow it to run for a few minutes, then turn off and check the oil level on the dipstick, topping up if necessary.
Care: Store the 5-litre container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition. Keep the cap tightly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination and evaporation. Dispose of used engine oil responsibly at an authorized collection point.
