Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install the blades, ensure your reciprocating saw is powered down and the battery or power cord is removed. Open the blade release mechanism on your saw, insert the universal shank of the blade until it clicks securely into place, and test the lock by pulling firmly on the blade. Always verify that the saw's shoe is pressed against the workpiece to prevent vibration. To extend the life of your blades, keep them clean from sap and debris after every use. A light wipe-down with a shop rag or a specialized resin remover will prevent buildup, which is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of the serrated teeth. Store the blades in a dry environment to prevent premature surface corrosion.
