Topdon often provides an initial period of free software updates; check your specific account dashboard for expiration details.
This tool is primarily designed for passenger vehicles using OBD2 protocols; it is not suitable for 24V heavy-duty truck systems.
Navigate to the 'Update' icon on the main menu while connected to Wi-Fi to see and download the latest vehicle software packages.
Verify the VCI dongle is firmly seated in the OBD2 port and the Bluetooth pairing is active on the tablet.
Clear the device cache in settings or check for available firmware updates that improve system stability.
Ensure you have a valid AutoAuth account linked to the device to bypass the secure gateway module.
To begin, ensure the tablet is charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network to register the device and download the necessary vehicle software. Connect the Bluetooth VCI dongle to the vehicle's OBD2 port; once paired, the tablet will recognize the module automatically. For maintenance, keep the screen clean with a microfiber cloth and ensure the tablet firmware is updated periodically to maintain compatibility with new vehicle models. Store the VCI dongle in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture damage to the internal electronics.
