Product Information

Full details

This mattress is ideal for individuals seeking a blend of supportive comfort and pressure relief for better sleep. Its key benefit is the combination of pocket springs and gel memory foam, which cradles the body and reduces motion transfer. A caveat is that it does not have a removable cover, making cleaning more involved. The Cygnus mattress features individually wrapped pocket springs for targeted support, a layer of gel-infused memory foam for contouring comfort, and breathable side panels for improved air circulation, ensuring a comfortable sleep environment.

FAQs

How do I clean this mattress?

Since there is no removable cover, spot clean spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid saturating the mattress. Ensure it remains dry.

Is this mattress suitable for back pain?

The mattress offers orthopaedic support and a combination of pocket springs and memory foam designed to promote proper spinal alignment and relieve pressure points, which can be beneficial for back pain.

What does 'medium soft' firmness mean?

Medium soft indicates a balance between cushioning and support. The mattress will contour to your body for comfort but still offer enough resistance to prevent excessive sinking, suitable for many sleeping positions.

How often should I rotate the mattress?

It is recommended to rotate (flip and turn end-to-end) the mattress every 3 to 6 months to ensure even wear and maintain its supportive qualities.

Can I use this mattress on any bed base?

Yes, it is compatible with most bed bases, including slatted frames, divan bases, and platform beds. Ensure the base provides adequate and even support.

What are the dimensions of the Single size?

The Single size mattress measures 25 cm in height, 90 cm in width, and 190 cm in length.

Does the mattress come with handles?

Yes, the mattress includes integrated side handles to assist with maneuvering and rotation.

Troubleshooting

Mattress not fully expanding

Ensure the mattress has been left to expand for the recommended 24 hours in a well-ventilated room. Check that it has not been compressed for an extended period during shipping.

Noticeable initial odor

This is common with new foam mattresses. Air out the mattress in a well-ventilated room for a few days. The odor should dissipate over time.

Uneven settling or sagging

Rotate the mattress regularly (every 3-6 months) to ensure even wear. Check that the bed base is providing adequate and consistent support.

Discomfort after sleeping

Consider rotating the mattress. If discomfort persists, the firmness level may not be suitable for your sleeping preference. Allow a break-in period of a few weeks.

  • Flippable design extends mattress life.
  • Orthopaedic support contributes to better posture.
  • Includes side handles for easier handling.

Cons

  • No removable cover makes cleaning more difficult.
  • Medium soft firmness might not suit those preferring a very firm mattress.
  • Requires regular rotation to maintain optimal condition.
  • Jacquard fabric may not appeal to all aesthetic preferences.
  • Gel infusion effectiveness can vary with room temperature.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Unpack the mattress in the room where it will be used. Allow it to expand to its full size, which may take several hours or up to 24 hours. Ensure it is placed on a suitable base, such as a slatted bed frame or a divan base, to allow for proper ventilation and support.

Compatibility:

This mattress is compatible with most standard bed frames, including slatted bases, divan bases, and platform beds. Ensure the bed frame provides adequate support and is the correct size for the mattress.

Care:

As the mattress does not have a removable cover, cleaning should be done carefully. Spot clean any spills immediately with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Avoid soaking the mattress. For general maintenance, regular rotation (flipping and turning end-to-end) is recommended every 3-6 months to ensure even wear and prolong its lifespan. Use the integrated side handles to assist with rotation. Ensure the mattress is kept dry.
