Citadel Layer Paint - Gehennas Gold is designed for hobbyists and miniature painters looking to add high-quality metallic highlights and depth to their projects. This water-based acrylic paint is perfect for building up layers over base coats to achieve a professional, rich finish on plastic, metal, and resin miniatures, though users should note that as a layer paint, it has a thinner consistency than base paints and may require multiple coats for opaque coverage.

Yes, always prime your miniatures first to ensure the paint adheres correctly to the surface.
This paint is designed for brush application. You would need to heavily thin it with an airbrush medium to use it in an airbrush, though it may not perform as well as dedicated airbrush paints.
Yes, once dry, these acrylics are permanent and highly durable, suitable for gaming pieces.
Applying a thin coat of varnish is recommended to protect your hard work, especially on high-traffic gaming pieces.
Typically, thin layers will dry to the touch within 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the humidity of your room.
Add a tiny amount of water or acrylic thinner and stir thoroughly until the consistency is smooth.
Apply two thin coats instead of one thick coat, allowing each layer to dry completely in between.
Use a small mixing ball or a clean stir stick to mix the settled metallic pigment back into the medium.
Before starting, ensure your miniature is primed and a base coat has fully dried. To maintain the quality of your Gehennas Gold paint, keep the pot lid tightly sealed when not in use to prevent the water-based medium from evaporating. If the paint thickens, add a tiny drop of clean water or a dedicated acrylic thinner to restore its original consistency. Clean your brushes immediately after use with soap and water to avoid metallic pigments drying in the bristles. Store pots upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prolong the shelf life of the paint.
