Product Information

Full details

The SmallRig 2983 is a professional-grade, form-fitting full cage designed specifically for Panasonic LUMIX S5 and S5D users who require a robust platform for rigging external accessories. Its primary benefit is the secure, anti-twist dual-locking mechanism that keeps the camera stable during intensive handheld or tripod use, though it does add a slight amount of bulk to the otherwise compact camera body.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the cage, align the camera body inside the cage frame. First, tighten the 1/4"-20 screw on the bottom using the integrated tool. Then, attach the M2.5 screw on the right side of the cage to ensure the body is locked into place. This is essential to prevent camera rotation during use. The cage is specifically compatible with the Panasonic LUMIX S5 and S5D. For care, keep the aluminum surface clean by wiping it with a soft, lint-free cloth. Ensure the integrated tool is always snapped securely into its magnetic storage slot on the bottom to prevent loss during travel.
