Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack all components: Aida fabric, embroidery threads, needle, and pattern.
- Identify the starting point on the Aida fabric, often indicated by the pattern. Locate the corresponding starting symbol on the colour-coded design.
- Thread the needle with the appropriate colour of embroidery thread, typically using 2 or 3 strands from the 6 available.
- Begin stitching according to the pattern, matching each cross stitch to the corresponding grid square.
Compatibility:
These kits are self-contained and do not require additional tools for basic completion, though a small pair of scissors for cutting threads is recommended. The Aida fabric is compatible with standard cross-stitch frames or hoops if desired for easier handling.
Care:
To care for your finished cross stitch, gently hand wash it in cool water with a mild detergent. Avoid wringing or harsh scrubbing. Lay flat to dry on a clean towel, away from direct sunlight. Once dry, it can be ironed on the reverse side using a cool setting, preferably with a pressing cloth.
