Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Before installation, ensure the water supply to the toilet cistern is turned off. Remove the old flush valve by unscrewing the retaining nut at the base of the cistern. Clean the area where the new valve will sit. Install the new Grohe 49061000 Flush Valve, ensuring the rubber seal is correctly positioned against the inside of the cistern. Secure it with the retaining nut from the outside. Connect the flush pipe if applicable. Turn the water supply back on slowly and check for leaks.
Compatibility: This 50mm flush valve is designed to fit standard cisterns. It is crucial to confirm that your existing sanitaryware system has a 50mm flush valve outlet before purchasing. Refer to your toilet's manual or measure your current valve's outlet diameter. While Grohe products are known for broad compatibility, always verify dimensions.
Care: The exterior chrome finish can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the finish. Periodically check the valve and its seals for any signs of wear or leaks. Regular checks can help maintain optimal performance and prevent issues.
