The Scheppach HDA-14 Heavy Duty Air Purifier is specifically designed for workshop environments where fine dust accumulation poses a respiratory risk. It is an essential tool for woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts who need to capture microscopic pollutants as small as 1 µm, offering a significant upgrade over standard extraction systems. While it provides excellent air filtration and saves floor space through its ceiling-mount design, it requires a secure overhead installation, which may be challenging for workshops with low ceilings or weak structural supports.

No. The HDA-14 is an ambient air purifier for fine dust. You still need a primary dust extraction system connected to your power tools to collect heavy chips and sawdust.
The HDA-14 is specifically designed for ceiling mounting. Wall mounting may impede airflow and is not recommended.
Filter change frequency depends on your usage. We recommend checking it monthly and replacing it once it shows significant discoloration or when airflow performance drops.
The maximum noise level is 60 dB, which is roughly equivalent to normal conversation levels.
Yes, although the remote control provides the most convenience, the unit can be managed via its control panel settings.
Check the battery level in the remote and ensure you are within the 10-metre line-of-sight range of the unit's receiver.
Check the filters for blockages; excessive dust accumulation can severely restrict air throughput. Replace or clean filters as needed.
Verify that the unit is mounted level and that all hardware is tightened. Inspect the internal fan for any debris or obstructions.
To set up the HDA-14, ensure your ceiling structure can support the weight of the unit. Use the included mounting hardware to fix the device securely to joists or structural beams. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the intake and exhaust vents for optimal airflow.
Compatibility note: This unit is optimized for workshop filtration and is not intended for heavy-duty industrial chemical fume extraction.
Care instructions: Regularly inspect the filters for dust buildup and replace them according to the intensity of your usage. Keep the intake and exhaust vents free of obstructions, and clean the external casing periodically with a dry, lint-free cloth.
