TP-Link PoE+ Injector - TL-POE160S

A PoE+ (Power over Ethernet Plus) Injector is a device that adds electrical power to an Ethernet data cable, allowing a single cable to deliver both data and power to a compatible network device.

PoE (IEEE 802.3af) provides up to 15.4 W of power, while PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) provides more power, up to 30 W, making it suitable for more power-intensive devices.

You can power any network device that is compliant with IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at standards, such as IP security cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and other compatible network equipment.

Standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables are generally sufficient for PoE+ applications. For longer distances or higher power, Cat6 or better is often recommended.

No, this injector should only be used with PoE or PoE+ compliant devices. Connecting it to a non-PoE device could potentially damage the non-PoE device as it is not designed to receive power over the Ethernet cable.

No, the TL-POE160S features Gigabit Ethernet ports, meaning it supports network speeds up to 1000 Mbps. It will not reduce the network speed of your connected devices.

Yes, the TP-Link TL-POE160S typically includes its necessary power adapter for operation.

1. Verify that the injector's power adapter is securely connected to an active power outlet. 2. Check all Ethernet cable connections between the data source, injector, and powered device. 3. Ensure the connected device is indeed PoE or PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at) compatible. Non-PoE devices will not receive power. 4. Try a different Ethernet cable or power outlet to rule out faulty components.

1. Ensure you are using high-quality Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables, as lower quality or damaged cables can impact performance. 2. Verify that your router/switch and the end device both support Gigabit Ethernet to achieve optimal speeds. 3. Check for any kinks or damage in the Ethernet cables.

1. Confirm the power adapter is properly plugged into both the injector and a functioning wall outlet. 2. Try plugging the power adapter into a different electrical outlet. 3. If possible, test with a different compatible power adapter (ensure voltage and current ratings match).
