Mylands Downing Street No.10 is a premium, deep black interior paint designed for homeowners and interior designers seeking a sophisticated, minimalistic aesthetic for their walls and ceilings. This high-quality emulsion provides a rich, pitch-black finish that is both highly durable and easy to maintain due to its washable and wipeable surface. While it offers excellent scuff resistance, it is important to note that like many dark-pigmented paints, achieving perfect coverage may require careful surface preparation and multiple coats to ensure a consistent, streak-free appearance.

Yes, its durable and washable nature makes it suitable for kitchens, though it should be kept away from direct heat sources or areas with heavy steam exposure.
If you are painting over a drastically different color or porous surfaces like new plaster, a high-quality primer is recommended to ensure even color saturation.
Yes, it is designed for use on both walls and ceilings.
The paint is touch dry within a few hours, but we recommend waiting at least 4 hours between coats for the best results.
Yes, it is a Low VOC formula, which reduces the release of harmful chemicals into your home environment.
Ensure you are keeping a 'wet edge' while painting and avoid overworking the paint once it begins to set.
Dark pigments often require two full coats. Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying the second.
Use a damp microfiber cloth to gently buff out the scuff. Ensure the paint has fully cured (usually 2-4 weeks) before aggressive cleaning.
Before application, ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose paint, dust, or grease. If the wall has been previously painted with a high-gloss finish, lightly sand the area to improve adhesion. For raw plaster, use a suitable primer before applying the Downing Street No.10 emulsion.
Application is best performed with a high-quality medium-pile roller for walls or a soft synthetic brush for edges and corners. Maintain a 'wet edge' while painting to prevent unsightly lap marks. For daily care, use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away surface dust or marks. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can dull the matte finish over time.
