Product Information
Full details
The Century Stealth Landing Net (42-inch) is designed for serious carp and specimen anglers who prioritize reliability, strength, and ease of handling when securing a catch. It delivers superior durability and precision engineering, making it an essential tool for high-pressure fishing situations. The main trade-off to consider is that its robust construction and larger hoop size may make it slightly bulkier to transport compared to smaller, entry-level folding net models.

FAQs
Can I replace the mesh on the Century Stealth net?
Yes, the mesh is designed to be removable, allowing you to swap it out for a replacement if it becomes damaged after years of heavy use.
Is the handle compatible with other net heads?
The handle uses a standard thread, making it compatible with most major landing net head brands, though it is optimized for the Century Stealth 42-inch frame.
Does the net sink or float?
The net is designed to be slightly buoyant to aid in netting, but it is not a floating net. Keep a net float attached if you prefer it to stay near the surface.
What is the weight of the 42-inch model?
The Century Stealth utilizes high-modulus carbon to keep the weight minimal, though exact specs depend on the handle length chosen.
Is this net suitable for boat fishing?
While it can be used for boat fishing, its 42-inch size is most effective for bank-based carp fishing where reaching over reeds or margins is required.
Troubleshooting
Spreader arms are difficult to insert into the block.
Check for trapped grit or sand in the spreader block holes and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Net feels wobbly at the connection point.
Ensure the arms are fully seated into the block and that the handle threads are tightened securely.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Exceptionally strong and reliable under load
- Fish-friendly mesh material protects the specimen
- Lightweight handle construction eases maneuvering
- Wide 42-inch opening simplifies netting large carp
- High-quality, durable Century build standards
Cons
- Larger frame size requires more storage space
- Does not include a carry case in all regional bundles
- Premium build comes at a higher weight than entry-level nets
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your net, align the spreader arms carefully with the spreader block and slide them until you feel a secure click or resistance. Ensure the mesh is evenly distributed around the arms before initiating a cast or moving into position.
Care Instructions
- Rinsing: Always rinse the mesh with fresh water after each session, especially after use in saltwater or silty environments, to prevent odor and material degradation.
- Storage: Store the net in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. UV rays can degrade the mesh fibers over time.
- Drying: Avoid storing the net in a plastic bag while wet. Allow it to air-dry completely to prevent mildew buildup.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the spreader block for debris that might hinder the fit of the arms.
