The Craig & Rose 1829 Eggshell Paint in Dried Plaster is ideal for interior decorators and homeowners looking for a sophisticated, durable finish with a subtle matte-like appearance. Its primary benefit lies in its smooth, low-sheen application that provides excellent coverage while remaining gentle on indoor air quality due to its low VOC formula. A key caveat to keep in mind is that as an eggshell finish, it is best suited for low-to-medium traffic areas rather than high-impact industrial spaces, requiring proper surface preparation to achieve the signature premium look.

While it is durable, it is not specifically designed for high-humidity areas; we recommend using a specialized bathroom paint for zones with direct steam or moisture.
No, this formula is not heat-resistant. It is intended for interior walls and woodwork.
The paint is quick-drying, typically touch-dry within a few hours, though we recommend waiting 4-6 hours between coats.
If you are painting over a clean, previously painted surface in a similar color, primer may not be necessary. For bare surfaces or drastic color changes, a primer is highly recommended.
Keep the lid tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures.
This is common with high-pigment paints; ensure you are applying two full coats for uniform coverage and let the first coat dry completely.
Ensure you are using a high-quality synthetic brush and applying 'long' strokes while maintaining a wet edge to help the paint self-level.
To ensure the best results, start by cleaning your surfaces to remove dust, grease, or peeling paint. If you are painting over a dark color, apply a high-quality primer first to maintain the integrity of the Dried Plaster hue. Use a fine-nap roller for walls or a high-quality synthetic brush for trim to achieve the smoothest finish. Once applied, allow the surface to cure fully for several days before attempting any wet cleaning. For daily care, use a soft, damp cloth with mild soapy water to remove surface marks, avoiding abrasive scouring pads that may damage the delicate eggshell sheen.
