FAQs

Can I use these tools on any vehicle model?

The kit is compatible with most standard passenger vehicles, though access points vary by make and model.

Are the trim tools safe for leather interiors?

Yes, they are designed to be non-marring, but always use caution to avoid puncturing leather with sharp edges.

Does the air wedge damage door seals?

When used correctly and not over-inflated, the air wedge is designed to prevent damage to weather stripping and door seals.

How do I clean the kit components?

A damp cloth with mild soap is sufficient for the plastic tools; ensure everything is completely dry before storage.

Is this kit suitable for professional mechanics?

Yes, it is a great secondary kit for locksmiths and mobile mechanics who need light, portable tools for quick tasks.

Troubleshooting

Air wedge fails to hold pressure

Check the valve for debris and ensure it is fully tightened after inflation.

Tool leaving marks on interior panels

Ensure the trim tool is inserted fully under the clip rather than prying from the edge; use a thin cloth as a buffer if necessary.

Long reach grabber slipping on locks

Adjust the angle of the grabber tip and ensure the tool shaft remains straight to maximize grip force.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your tools last, wipe them down with a clean, dry cloth after every use to remove debris or automotive lubricants. The air wedge pump should be kept away from sharp metal shards to prevent punctures; inspect the bag for any signs of wear before inflating. When using the tools on vehicle paint, consider placing a thin layer of microfiber or tape between the tool and the bodywork as an extra precaution. Store all components in the provided bag or case to prevent losing individual pieces, especially the specialized tips for the long reach grabber.
