Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack all components and verify against the parts list.
- Attach the five castor wheels to the legs of the base.
- Connect the gas lift cylinder to the chair base.
- Attach the metal arms to the underside of the seat.
- Mount the seat assembly onto the gas lift cylinder.
- Secure the backrest to the seat assembly, if it is a separate piece.
- Ensure all screws are tightened firmly but do not overtighten.
Compatibility:
The chair is designed for standard floor surfaces. It is compatible with most home office desks and workstations. The five-wheel base provides stability on most flat surfaces. However, care should be taken on delicate flooring where castor marks could appear.
Care:
- Upholstery: For spills or stains on the velvet, gently blot the area with a clean, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment can help maintain the fabric's appearance.
- Mechanism: Periodically check that the height adjustment and recline mechanisms are functioning smoothly. Lubrication is generally not required but ensure no debris obstructs the moving parts.
- Base and Wheels: Wipe the plastic legs and castor wheels with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Ensure wheels are free from hair or debris that could impede movement.
