Unwins Gazania Daybreak XP Clear Orange Seeds give a vibrant summer display of daisy flowers. Sun-loving Gazanias have a long flowering period and are also attractive in beds and borders. Gazanias are a compact and robust plant that are easy to grow. Perfect for pots of containers. Great in hanging baskets. Sow: February to April. Flowering: June to September. Sowing Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in a warm position at 18–25 °C and keep moist. Growing On Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost. Planting Out Once the risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out. Space plants 20 cm apart. Aftercare Remove spent flower heads by following the stem to the base of the plant and pinching off. This will help prolong flowering.
