Can I use this on a steep bank?

Yes, the four telescopic legs allow for independent height adjustment to level the roost on uneven or sloped banks.

Is the EVA foam soft enough to protect my carbon rods?

Yes, the high-quality EVA foam is designed to be soft yet durable, protecting your rods from scratches and dings.

What is the total width of the roost head?

The roost head measures 54cm in width.

Is this product suitable for pleasure fishing?

Troubleshooting

Telescopic legs are sticking or difficult to extend.

Check the locking collars for dirt or grit; rinse with water and wipe dry before re-engaging.

The roost feels unstable on very soft or loose ground.

Ensure all four legs are fully extended and pushed firmly into the substrate; consider using a wider stance.

EVA foam is collecting debris.

Use a soft brush or a damp cloth to clear out the angled grooves after your fishing session.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Lightweight and highly portable for mobile anglers
Adjustable legs accommodate uneven fishing banks
Angled EVA grooves provide excellent grip and security
Quick setup time minimizes preparation effort
Durable construction suitable for frequent use

Cons

Fixed 54cm width may limit capacity for very wide tackle setups
Lightweight frame may require weighting down in extreme storm conditions
Limited to eight slots, which may not suit anglers carrying a massive quantity of spare kits

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the Ignition Roost, release the tension locks on the four telescopic legs to adjust the height based on the terrain, ensuring the base is level. Once the desired height is achieved, lock the legs firmly into place. Ensure the roost is positioned far enough back from the water to avoid accidental knock-ins. Compatibility is universal with most match rods and pole top kits. For care, wipe down the EVA foam with a damp cloth after each session to remove dirt, grit, or fish attractants. Store in a cool, dry place and ensure the telescopic locking mechanisms are clear of debris to maintain smooth operation.
