Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Measure the desired length and carefully cut the trim using a fine-toothed saw or utility knife.
- Prepare the surface by ensuring it is clean, dry, and free from dust or grease.
- Apply a suitable strong adhesive (e.g., a grab adhesive or uPVC solvent cement) to the back of the trim or the wall surface, following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions. Alternatively, pre-drill small pilot holes and secure the trim using appropriate screws (not included), ensuring they are countersunk for a flush finish.
- Press the trim firmly into place and hold for a few minutes until the adhesive begins to set, or secure with screws.
Compatibility:
This uPVC flat trim is compatible with most common building materials including plasterboard, plaster, wood, and painted surfaces. It is designed for interior use and can be used in conjunction with other finishing materials. Ensure any adhesives or fixings used are suitable for uPVC.
Care:
Clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the uPVC finish. Regularly wipe away dust and grime to maintain its appearance.
