Product Information
Full details
The Satchville Willow Storage Basket is designed for homeowners who appreciate a blend of rustic charm and practical utility, offering an elegant solution for organizing logs, kindling, or household textiles. Its key benefit lies in the combination of a sturdy, handcrafted willow weave and a protective hessian liner that prevents debris from escaping, though users should note the fixed oval dimensions of 50cm x 48cm require a dedicated floor footprint. This versatile piece serves as both a functional storage container and a decorative element suitable for various interior styles, from traditional farmhouse to modern minimalist aesthetics.

FAQs
Can I use this basket to carry heavy logs?
Yes, the sturdy handcrafted willow is designed for durability and can support the weight of a full load of firewood.
Is the hessian liner removable?
The liner is designed to fit the basket precisely; while it can be adjusted, it is intended to remain inside during regular use.
Will the grey color fade over time?
The finish is high-quality, but as with all natural materials, avoiding prolonged direct sunlight will best preserve the original color.
Can this basket be kept outdoors?
It is designed for indoor use. Outdoor exposure to moisture or rain may damage the natural willow and the hessian liner.
How do I clean the inside if it gets filled with wood chips?
The easiest method is to remove the liner if possible, or use a handheld vacuum to remove debris from the corners of the basket.
Troubleshooting
Basket feels slightly unstable on uneven surfaces
Adjust the positioning of the willow base or ensure the internal weight of the logs is distributed evenly across the bottom.
Hessian liner has loose threads
Carefully trim any loose threads with fabric scissors; avoid pulling them, as this can unravel the seam.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Durable, hand-woven construction ensures longevity
- Hessian liner keeps wood debris contained
- Aesthetically versatile neutral grey finish
- Spacious design holds ample supply of logs
- Eco-friendly natural materials
Cons
- Fixed oval shape cannot be collapsed for storage
- Requires floor space due to 50cm diameter
- Natural willow material should be kept away from direct high heat
Setup, Compatibility & Care
This basket arrives fully assembled and ready for immediate use. To maintain the appearance and structural health of your Satchville Willow Storage Basket, avoid placing it directly inside the fireplace grate or too close to open flames. If the willow gathers dust, a gentle wipe with a dry cloth or a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner is sufficient. The hessian liner is best maintained by shaking it out outdoors periodically. If the liner becomes soiled, spot-cleaning with a damp cloth is recommended rather than full immersion, which could affect the tension of the natural willow frame.
