Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, ensure the surfaces on either side of the opening are clean and sturdy. Begin by attaching any necessary extensions to the central gate frame before positioning the gate. Use the provided adjustment bolts to exert pressure against the walls, ensuring the unit is level and secure. For areas at the top or bottom of stairs, hardware mounting is highly recommended over purely pressure-based mounting for maximum safety. To care for your gate, wipe the frame regularly with a damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive soap. Check the hinges and latch monthly for any signs of loosening and tighten the adjustment bolts if the gate feels unstable or begins to sag.
