Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Marlborough carcassing timber, store the lengths flat and under cover in a dry, well-ventilated area before use to prevent moisture absorption. While the timber is treated, it is not impervious to all weather conditions; always ensure the final design allows for proper drainage and ventilation to maintain the UC3 status. When cutting, use sharp, high-quality blades to ensure clean edges and always apply a brush-on preservative to any cross-cut surfaces. Compatibility is high with standard structural fixings, including galvanised coach bolts, screws, and joist hangers. Do not use this timber in contact with damp earth or in submerged conditions.
