Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon receiving your 9cm pot, transplant the raspberry cane into its permanent location as soon as possible. Choose a site that receives plenty of sunlight but offers some protection from strong winds. Space your plants approximately 45-60cm apart. Prepare the soil by incorporating organic matter like compost. Once planted, provide immediate water to settle the root ball. To manage growth, install a trellis, wooden fence, or a system of wires and posts to tie the canes as they grow towards their 2-meter mature height. Pruning should be performed annually to remove spent canes, ensuring the plant focuses energy on new, productive growth for the following season.
