The Bakugan Legends Nova Dragonoid is recommended for children aged 6 years and up.

Does this product come with BakuCores?

No, this set includes one Nova Bakugan, one Character Card, and one Gate Card. Metal BakuCores are sold separately and are required for the Bakugan to transform.

How do the light-up effects work?

The light-up effects are activated during the Bakugan's transformation. The necessary batteries (LR44) are typically included, but may need replacement over time.

Can I choose which Bakugan I receive?

No, this item is picked at random from an assortment of models. The specific Bakugan you receive may differ from those shown in images.

Is this a good starter set for Bakugan?

Yes, it is considered an official Bakugan toy and serves as a great starter pack to begin a Bakugan collection, including essential battle components.

What other Bakugan items are compatible?

This Bakugan is compatible with other official Bakugan toys, including Season 5 Bakugan Legends figures, Geogan, Nova Bakugan, BakuCores, Gate Cards, and Character Cards. Baku-tins for storage are also compatible.

Troubleshooting

Bakugan does not transform when rolled

Ensure the Bakugan is rolled onto a metal BakuCore. The transformation mechanism requires the magnetic pull of the metal surface. Also, check that the Bakugan is correctly closed before rolling.

Light-up feature is not working

Verify that the batteries (LR44) are correctly installed and have power. If the batteries are depleted, replace them with new ones of the same type. Ensure the battery compartment is clean and secure.

Bakugan does not stay closed

Gently check for any obstructions or damage to the closing mechanism. Ensure the Bakugan is fully reset by pressing the sides firmly together until it clicks.

Gate Card bonus not revealed

Confirm that the Bakugan successfully opened *on* the Gate Card. The bonus is only revealed if the transformation occurs directly on the card's designated area.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Engaging light-up feature enhances visual appeal during play.
  • Introduces strategic depth with the included Gate Card and bonus mechanics.
  • Encourages collection and battling with friends, promoting social interaction.
  • Provides a solid entry point for new collectors with starter pack components.
  • Durable construction suitable for active play.

Cons

  • The specific character received is random, which may lead to disappointment if a particular one is desired.
  • Requires a Bakugan arena and BakuCores for full gameplay experience (sold separately).
  • May require multiple purchases to complete a desired collection.
  • Small parts could be a choking hazard for very young children, despite the recommended age.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Unpack the Nova Bakugan, Character Card, and Gate Card.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the included Instruction Sheet.
  3. Ensure you have at least one metal BakuCore (sold separately) for the Bakugan to transform upon activation.
  4. For enhanced gameplay, consider acquiring a Bakugan arena or Baku-tin (sold separately) for organized battles and storage.

Compatibility:

  • The Nova Bakugan is compatible with all official Bakugan metal BakuCores, Gate Cards, and Character Cards from the Legends series and previous seasons.
  • It is designed to work within the established rules of Bakugan battles.
  • Batteries for the light-up feature are typically included (LR44) and are often pre-installed. If they need replacement, ensure you use the correct LR44 type.

Care:

  • Wipe the Bakugan figure with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust.
  • Avoid exposing the toy to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures, which could damage the electronic components.
  • Store the Bakugan and cards in a dry place, preferably in a Bakugan Baku-tin or a similar container, to prevent damage and loss.
