Setup, Compatibility & Care
Ensuring your foundation performs its best involves proper setup, understanding its compatibility with other products, and mindful care.
Initial Setup (First Use)
Upon first opening, the pump mechanism might require a few presses to prime and dispense the product. This is normal.
Compatibility
- Primers: For best results and extended wear, pair with a compatible face primer. Silicone-based primers often work well with long-wear foundations.
- Concealers: Can be layered effectively with both cream and liquid concealers for targeted spot correction.
- Powders: Sets well with most translucent or setting powders. Choose a powder that complements your desired finish (matte, radiant).
- Skincare: Ensure your skincare products (moisturizers, serums) are fully absorbed before applying foundation to prevent pilling or streaking.
Care & Storage
- Storage: Store the foundation in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This helps maintain product integrity.
- Hygiene: Always apply with clean hands, brushes, or sponges to prevent bacterial contamination.
- Cap Securely: Ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to prevent the product from drying out and to maintain its efficacy.
- Shelf Life: Cosmetics have a 'Period After Opening' (PAO) symbol (an open jar icon with a number, e.g., '12M' for 12 months). Adhere to this guideline for optimal performance and hygiene.
