The Tooltime 7-Piece Flare Nut Spanner Set is an essential tool kit for automotive technicians and DIY mechanics who frequently work with brake lines, fuel systems, or hydraulic fittings. Designed to prevent rounding off soft compression nuts, this set provides a superior 6-point grip compared to standard open-ended wrenches, though users should note that the specialized heads require sufficient clearance around the fitting to engage properly.

While they will grip hex bolts, they are designed specifically for flare nuts on pipes and may not perform as well as a dedicated 6-point box-end wrench for standard bolts.
The tools are manufactured from heat-treated chrome vanadium steel with a nickel-plated finish.
Yes, the set comes with a convenient roll-up storage wallet.
Yes, they are designed for professional automotive and industrial repair tasks.
Yes, the 6-point design grips all sides of the nut, significantly reducing the chance of slipping or rounding.
Ensure the pipe is aligned with the opening in the head and check that the nut size matches the spanner marking.
Verify the nut has not already been rounded by a previous tool; if rounded, use a specialized nut extractor instead.
Wipe with an oily rag after each use and ensure they are stored in a dry environment.
To ensure the longevity of your Tooltime spanner set, always clean the tool heads of grit or debris after use, as foreign matter can prevent a proper fit on the nut. Since these are high-torque tools, avoid using cheater bars or extensions, as this can stress the open-jaw design.
Store the spanners in the provided roll-up wallet in a dry location to prevent moisture buildup. The set is compatible with standard metric flare nuts commonly found on domestic and imported vehicles, as well as industrial piping systems. If you encounter a fitting covered in heavy undercoating or rust, use a wire brush to clean the nut flats before applying the spanner to ensure full engagement.
