Jewelco London Mens Rhodium Plated Sterling Silver Boxing Glove Charm Ring 12mm

The ring is made of rhodium-plated sterling silver.

The product dimension for the ring is 12mm.

Rhodium plating is a durable finish, but like all platings, it can wear down over time with continuous use and exposure to certain conditions.

Yes, it is designed for wear, but following the care instructions will help maintain its appearance and longevity.

Gently wipe with a soft cloth. For a deeper clean, use mild soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Sterling silver is generally well-tolerated, and the rhodium plating adds an extra layer of protection. However, individual sensitivities can vary.

It means a thin layer of rhodium, a precious metal from the platinum family, has been electroplated onto the sterling silver surface. This provides a brighter, whiter finish and increases resistance to tarnish.

Gently clean with a soft jewelry polishing cloth. For persistent tarnish, use a mild silver polish designed for rhodium-plated items, following product instructions carefully. Ensure it is rinsed and dried thoroughly.

Minor scratches may be buffed out with a specialized jewelry polishing cloth. For deeper scratches, professional polishing by a jeweler may be required to restore the finish without damaging the plating.

This can occur with prolonged wear or exposure to harsh substances. Consider having the ring re-plated by a professional jeweler to restore its original finish.
