The aqua-stop connector automatically stops the water flow when you disconnect a watering accessory, preventing water wastage and eliminating the need to walk back to the tap to turn it off.
The kit is designed for standard garden hoses with diameters between 12.5mm and 15mm. It should fit most common household hoses.
Simply twist the outer ring of the spray nozzle clockwise or anti-clockwise. Twisting one way increases the spray, while twisting the other way changes it towards a jet, and all the way around can turn it off.
The tap connector has a 3/4in thread, which is standard for most outdoor taps. It also includes a 1/2in insert adaptor for older or smaller taps.
The fittings are made from ABS plastic, chosen for its strength and durability for regular garden use. While robust, it may not be as heavy-duty as metal fittings for extreme commercial environments.
It is recommended to disconnect the fittings, drain them of any water, and store them in a dry, frost-free location, such as a shed or garage, to prolong their lifespan.
Ensure the sealing washer inside the connector and the O-ring on the outside are properly seated and free from debris. Tighten the connector firmly onto the tap.
Check for any dirt or obstructions in the connection points. Ensure the hose is inserted fully and the quick-release collar is pushed back correctly.
Twist the nozzle firmly but carefully. If it feels stiff, try detaching and reattaching it, ensuring it's fully seated.
Verify that the aqua-stop connector is correctly attached to the hose end. Ensure there are no blockages within the connector itself. Check that the accessory being detached is securely connected to the aqua-stop.
Confirm that the hose is within the compatible 12.5mm - 15mm diameter range. Ensure the hose clamp or internal gripping mechanism of the connector is fully engaged with the hose.
