The Oase 5w Replacement UV Lamp is an essential maintenance component for pond owners using compatible Oase filtration systems, such as the Filtral UVC 1500. Designed to maintain crystal-clear water by controlling algae growth, this lamp offers up to 8000 hours of effective UV output for reliable performance. While it is highly efficient and genuine to the brand, users must remember that UV effectiveness significantly diminishes over time, necessitating an annual replacement to ensure your pond remains free of green water throughout the summer season.

It is recommended to change the bulb annually, ideally in early spring, to ensure full strength capacity during the peak summer months.
It is best to avoid touching the glass directly. Use a clean cloth or gloves to prevent natural skin oils from damaging the bulb surface.
This lamp is specifically verified for the Filtral UVC 1500 (Grey - Post 2019 model). Check your filter's specific model number if you have an older version.
This bulb is designed specifically for Oase equipment. Using it in non-Oase filters is not recommended and may result in electrical incompatibility.
This indicates the lifespan of the bulb under optimal conditions. After 8000 hours, the UV output drops significantly, even if the light still appears to be on.
Check that the quartz sleeve is clean from algae and limescale, and ensure the bulb is fully seated in the 2-pin socket.
Check the power supply to the filter unit and ensure the ballast/starter is functional. If the bulb is seated correctly and still won't light, the ballast may require professional inspection.
To install, first ensure the power to your Oase filter is completely disconnected to avoid electrical hazard. Open the UVC housing according to your specific filter manual, carefully slide the old bulb out, and align the 2-pin connector of the new 5w bulb with the socket. Do not touch the glass of the new bulb with bare fingers, as oils from your skin can create hot spots that shorten the bulb's lifespan; using a soft cloth is recommended.
