Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your wire rope, always use compatible stainless steel or galvanized hardware, such as thimbles and wire rope clips, to prevent point-loading or fraying at connection points. When cutting the cable, use dedicated wire rope cutters to maintain a clean end, which prevents the strands from unraveling. Periodically inspect the wire for signs of oxidation or wear, especially in humid or coastal environments. Keep the cable clean by wiping it with a dry cloth; avoid using abrasive chemicals that might degrade the surface finish.
