These sanding sheets are suitable for wood, regular steel, and painted wood.
The grit you choose depends on what job you are trying to do. The lower the grit the rougher the sandpaper and conversely, the higher the grit number the smoother the sandpaper.
These sheets are compatible with Makita BO4554, BO4555, BO4561, BO4565, and Hitachi sanders.
The sheets use a Velcro backing for easy attachment. Simply align the sheet with the sander's pad and press it firmly into place.
The lifespan of a sanding sheet depends on usage. Avoid excessive pressure during use and clean the sheets periodically to extend their life.
The holes are for dust extraction, helping to keep the work area clean and improving the sanding efficiency.
Yes, these sheets can be used for automotive work, especially for sanding metal and preparing surfaces for painting. Ensure you select the correct grit for the task.
Ensure the Velcro on both the sheet and the sander pad are clean and free of debris. Replace the sheet if the Velcro is worn out.
Check if the grit is appropriate for the material and task. Also, ensure that the sheet is not overloaded with material; clean or replace as needed.
Reduce the pressure applied during sanding. Ensure the sheet is properly aligned and secured to the sander.
