This small ornamental apple tree is a showstopper with its pink-purple spring blossoms that add an enchanting touch to any landscape. It produces tasty Crab Apple fruits and is ideal for gardens or urban settings, bringing charm and elegance. Plant in well-drained soil, provide regular watering, and prune as needed. The tree features beautiful green leaves tinged with purple, deep pink-purple flowers in April-May, followed by conical orange to red fruits. These fruits, though sour raw, are excellent for stewed fruit desserts, jam, and retain their pectin for setting. The colourful fruits remain on the tree into winter, providing a visual spectacle and attracting wildlife. These pollinators also aid nearby fruit trees. The Malus ‘Neville Copeman’ is fully hardy, prefers fertile, well-drained soil, and thrives in full sun or partial shade. It is pollution-tolerant, making it suitable for city gardens near busy roads. In 20 years, it reaches a height of 5m and a spread of 4m. It requires little maintenance.
