Product Information

Full details

GLAD Press'n Seal is an essential kitchen tool for home cooks and meal preppers who need a reliable, leak-proof solution for storing leftovers or preparing ingredients. Its unique adhesive technology allows it to stick to a wide variety of surfaces including plastic, glass, metal, and wood, effectively locking in freshness and preventing spills. While it provides an excellent airtight barrier, users should note that the adhesive backing is distinct from standard cling film and requires a firm press to activate the sealing mechanism properly.

Troubleshooting

The wrap is not sticking to the container rim.

Ensure the rim of the container is clean and completely dry before applying. Press firmly with your fingertips along the entire perimeter to activate the adhesive.

The wrap sticks to itself before application.

Pull the wrap out slowly and use the serrated edge carefully. Avoid letting the adhesive side touch itself during the unwinding process.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Creates a genuinely airtight seal on almost any surface
Prevents messy spills and leaks during storage or transport
Easy to use for covering odd-shaped containers that lack lids
Long-lasting roll size suitable for heavy kitchen users

Cons

Requires firm pressure to activate the adhesive seal
May be difficult to reposition once it has been pressed firmly onto a surface
Not intended for use in high-heat environments like direct oven contact

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To achieve the best results, pull the required amount of wrap from the dispenser and place it over your target surface. Use your fingers to apply firm pressure along the edges and any contact points to activate the adhesive.

Compatibility Note: This product works best on clean, dry surfaces. If the rim of a bowl is wet or greasy, the adhesive may not bond as effectively.

Care Instructions:

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources.
Avoid using in conventional ovens or near open flames.
While safe for microwave use when reheating food, ensure the wrap does not come into direct contact with food that is high in fat or sugar, as this may cause the plastic to melt.
