Product Information

Full details

The RidgeMonkey Ruggage 40 Litre Rucksack is an essential piece of gear for anglers who prioritize mobility and need a robust, organized storage solution when barrow access is limited. Designed for comfort during long treks, it features a generous 40-liter capacity and a modular layout that keeps your terminal tackle and essentials secure. While its structured design provides excellent gear protection, its rigid, padded profile means it is less compressible than traditional soft-sided bags, requiring dedicated storage space when not in use.

FAQs

Is the Rucksack completely waterproof?

It is made from water-resistant 1680D Hydropel material and features a wipe-clean PVC base, which protects gear from rain and damp ground, but it is not intended to be submerged in water.

Can I fit a standard laptop inside?

While the rucksack is designed for fishing gear, the internal dimensions are spacious enough to accommodate most standard-sized tablets or small laptops, though it is not a dedicated laptop bag.

Are the accessory cases included?

No, the Ruggage accessory cases are sold separately, but the rucksack's interior is modularly designed to fit them perfectly.

How do I attach the magnetic tray?

The tray is designed to rest on the top lid of the rucksack, held in place by integrated magnets that align with the bag's frame.

Does it have a chest strap?

Yes, it features adjustable straps to help stabilize the load across your chest, providing extra comfort during long walks to the swim.

Troubleshooting

Zippers feel gritty or difficult to operate

Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush and water to remove fine grit or sand, then ensure they are completely dry before closing.

Magnetic tray becomes loose

Ensure the magnet points on the tray and the top flap are free from mud or debris that may interfere with the magnetic contact.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maximize the utility of the rucksack, utilize the modular internal space by pairing it with specific Ruggage accessory cases to compartmentalize your baiting needles, scissors, and spools.

Care Instructions:

Cleaning: Wipe the PVC base regularly with a damp cloth to prevent the buildup of dried mud. Use a soft brush for the 1680D outer fabric if debris becomes embedded.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving the rucksack in direct sunlight for extended periods to maintain the integrity of the water-resistant coating.
Zipper Maintenance: If the zippers become stiff due to sand, blow out any debris and apply a light silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
