Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper installation, understanding compatibility, and regular care are essential for the optimal performance and longevity of your De'Longhi range cooker.
Setup & Installation
- Professional Installation: Due to its dual-fuel nature (gas and electric), this cooker requires installation by a qualified professional. This ensures compliance with all relevant gas and electrical safety regulations.
- Gas Connection: Ensure your home has a suitable gas supply line at the installation point.
- Electrical Connection: The cooker requires a dedicated electrical circuit. Consult a qualified electrician to confirm your electrical system can support the appliance's power requirements.
- LPG Conversion: If your home uses LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) instead of natural gas, utilize the included conversion kit. This conversion must be performed by a qualified gas safe engineer.
- Placement: Position the cooker with adequate clearance from adjacent cabinets or walls, as specified in the installation manual.
Compatibility
- Dimensions: The cooker measures 900mm (H) x 700mm (W) x 600mm (D). Measure your kitchen space carefully to ensure a proper fit, allowing for ventilation.
- Fuel Type: Designed for natural gas, but LPG convertible with the provided kit, offering versatility for different fuel sources.
- Panware: The cast iron pan supports are robust and accommodate various pot and pan sizes, including woks.
Care & Maintenance
Regular cleaning not only keeps your cooker looking new but also maintains its efficiency and hygiene.
- Hob Cleaning: After the hob has cooled, wipe down spills and food residue from the stainless steel surface and cast iron pan supports. The pan supports can be removed for more thorough cleaning with warm soapy water.
- Oven Interior: Both ovens feature an easy-clean enamel interior. For light soiling, a damp cloth with mild detergent will suffice. For tougher grime, specialized oven cleaners designed for enamel surfaces can be used, following the product instructions carefully. Always ensure the oven is cool before cleaning.
- Removable Inner Door Glass: For deep cleaning, the inner glass panel of the oven doors can be removed. Consult your user manual for specific instructions on how to safely detach and reattach the glass.
- Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent to clean the silver exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers that could scratch the finish.
- Burner Cleaning: Periodically clean the gas burner caps and rings to ensure efficient flame distribution. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
- Safety Checks: Regularly inspect the gas hose for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, contact a qualified professional.
