Product Information

Full details

The Angelcare Soft Touch Bath Support is designed for parents seeking a secure and comfortable bathing solution for newborns up to infants weighing 9kg. Its primary benefit is the ergonomic, hands-free design that cradles your baby, though parents should note it is strictly for use until the child can sit up unaided, necessitating a transition to a different bath method as your baby grows.

FAQs

At what age can I stop using this?

You should stop using the support as soon as your child can sit up unaided, or once they reach the 9kg weight limit.

Is it machine washable?

No, it is not designed for machine washing. Simply rinse it under the tap with mild soap and let it air dry.

Can I use this in an adult bathtub?

Yes, it is designed to be used in an adult bathtub, provided the tub is filled only to the recommended water level indicator on the support.

Will the material mold over time?

The mesh construction is designed to be mildew-resistant. Rinsing it after use and allowing it to air dry fully will prevent mold accumulation.

Does it require assembly?

No, the Angelcare Soft Touch Bath Support comes fully assembled and is ready to use right out of the box.

Troubleshooting

The support slides on the bottom of the tub

Ensure the bathtub surface is clean and free of soap scum, which can make the suction or base slip. If the tub surface is textured, ensure the base is seated on a flat, non-slip area.

The unit feels cold

Ensure the bath water has reached the recommended temperature and pour a small amount of warm water over the TPE surface before placing your baby down to help the material retain heat.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Soft, skin-friendly material feels gentle on baby
Mesh design allows for quick drying and easy cleaning
Hands-free design makes washing easier for parents
Compact enough to hang or store in small bathrooms

Cons

Weight limit is restrictive (up to 9kg)
Cannot be used once the child attempts to sit up
Requires a shallow water level which might feel cool in larger tubs

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up, simply place the support in the center of your bathtub or basin. Always ensure the water level does not exceed the line marked on the product. Compatibility is broad, as it fits most standard bathtubs and baby bath basins.

For care, rinse the product thoroughly after every use with warm soapy water. Because of its mesh construction, it is resistant to mold, but it should be hung by the handles or left to air dry in a well-ventilated area. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubs, as these may damage the soft TPE surface.
