Full details
Designed for adults seeking maximum warmth during winter months, the Totes Toasties Thermal Socks offer superior insulation for everyday wear. These socks are an ideal choice for anyone dealing with cold feet, featuring a high 3.0 TOG rating and a soft brushed interior for lasting comfort. A notable caveat is that the current sizing is specific to shoe sizes 8-11, which may limit the fit for those outside this range.

FAQs
What does the 3.0 TOG rating mean?
TOG stands for Thermal Overall Grade. A rating of 3.0 indicates a high level of thermal resistance, meaning the socks are highly effective at trapping body heat compared to standard socks.
Can these socks be worn by women?
While marketed as a men's product, they are suitable for anyone with a foot size corresponding to the 8-11 range.
Are these socks suitable for hiking?
They are designed for general cold-weather comfort. While they provide great warmth, they lack the specialized moisture-wicking and arch support found in technical hiking-specific socks.
How many pairs are included in the box?
Each box contains two pairs of socks.
Are they available in colors other than black?
This specific variant comes in black.
Troubleshooting
Socks feel too tight in my usual shoes
The thermal material is thicker than standard socks; ensure you wear them with footwear that allows for extra volume, such as boots or relaxed-fit sneakers.
Socks losing softness after multiple washes
Avoid using harsh fabric softeners or bleach, as these can flatten the brushed inner lining. Air drying helps preserve the loft of the internal fibers.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent heat retention with 3.0 TOG rating
- Soft, comfortable brushed lining
- Durable construction for daily wear
- Includes two pairs in a gift-ready box
Cons
- Sizing limited strictly to men's shoe sizes 8-11
- Black color only
- Not intended for extreme high-altitude mountaineering
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Totes Toasties remain effective, follow these care guidelines:
- Washing: Machine wash in cold or warm water with like colors.
- Drying: Air drying is recommended to maintain the integrity of the thermal fibers, though they can be tumbled dry on a low-heat setting.
- Compatibility: These socks are sized for standard men's shoe sizes 8-11. For best comfort, ensure your footwear has adequate room to accommodate the extra padding of the thermal knit.
