Full details

The L'Occitane Lavender Extra-Gentle Body Soap 250G is designed for adults with sensitive skin seeking a luxurious yet gentle cleansing experience. Its key benefit is providing deep hydration and nourishment while imparting a calming lavender scent. A potential caveat is that the floral fragrance may be too pronounced for those highly sensitive to scents. This artisanal soap is crafted using traditional saponification and cauldron-cooking methods, enriched with shea butter, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, omega-6, and karitene for cleansing and moisturizing. It is palm-free and 99% biodegradable.

Saponification is the traditional process of making soap by reacting fats or oils with an alkali. The cauldron-cooking method used here is a specific artisanal technique for producing high-quality soap.

What are the main moisturizing ingredients?

The soap is enriched with shea butter, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, omega-6, and karitene, all of which contribute to moisturizing and nourishing the skin.

Is this soap safe for very sensitive skin?

How should I store the soap bar?

Store the soap bar in a dry, well-draining soap dish away from direct streams of water to prolong its life. Keep it in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Does the soap contain any harsh chemicals?

The soap is made using traditional methods and is free from palm oil. It is formulated to be gentle and suitable for sensitive skin.

What is the scent profile of this soap?

The soap features the relaxing notes of lavender, revealing floral facets of jasmine and violet, evoking the charm of the French countryside.

Troubleshooting

Soap appears to be dissolving quickly.

Ensure the soap is stored in a well-draining soap dish and is not left sitting in water between uses.

Skin feels slightly dry after use (uncommon).

While formulated for hydration, ensure you are rinsing thoroughly and consider using a body lotion if dryness persists, especially in arid climates.

Fragrance is too strong.

Use in a well-ventilated area, or try using a smaller amount of soap per wash. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
