The Spontex Unwrapped Sponge Scourer is an ideal choice for environmentally conscious households and professional cleaners seeking to reduce plastic waste through its minimalist packaging design. This dual-action tool features a highly absorbent cellulose sponge for gentle wiping and a heavy-duty recycled fiber scourer for stubborn grime, though it is specifically intended for heavy-use environments where bulk storage is preferred over individual retail packaging.

Use caution. While effective on steel, it may scratch sensitive non-stick coatings. Test on a small area first.
While it is possible, it is generally recommended to rinse them by hand to maintain the structural integrity of the cellulose.
Durability depends on usage frequency and surface harshness. In a professional kitchen, daily replacement is recommended for hygiene.
The cellulose portion is biodegradable, but the scouring side made of recycled fibers should generally be disposed of in standard waste.
The product is designed to be stored in its primary bulk box to keep the contents clean until they are ready for use.
Rinse thoroughly with hot water, squeeze dry, and ensure it is placed where air can circulate. Replace if the odor persists as it indicates bacterial buildup.
Check for trapped food debris between the scouring fibers; rinse under a high-pressure stream of water. If fibers are worn thin, it is time to replace the unit.
Avoid using the sponge on sharp or jagged surfaces. Ensure the sponge is fully saturated before applying heavy pressure.
To ensure hygiene and longevity, rinse the sponge thoroughly after every use to remove food debris and soapy residue. Squeeze out excess water and store the sponge in a dry, ventilated area to prevent bacterial growth. Given the bulk nature of the 66-pack, store unused sponges in a cool, dry environment away from chemicals or moisture. These sponges are compatible with standard dish soaps and general-purpose surface cleaners. Avoid using them with concentrated bleach, as this may degrade the natural cellulose fibers prematurely.
