It is blended using pure monoethylene glycol, anti-corrosion additives and inhibitors. This coolant has been specially formulated to be truly universal in its application, providing a high degree of corrosion protection for all engine cooling systems, whether they are predominantly of aluminium or ferrous construction. Standard Blue Antifreeze employs established inhibitor technology and is nitrite, amine and phosphate (NAP) free, and includes borate and silicate. It also contains a bittering agent to prevent accidental consumption. This is a universal 2 year engine coolant, providing year-round performance and protection in all driving conditions. It can be used as supplied, or can be further diluted before use. A 50/50 mix provides -20°C Freezing Protection. It is manufactured from pure monoethylene glycol with established inhibitor technology and is nitrite, amine and phosphate (NAP) free. It contains anti-corrosion additives and inhibitors and is recommended for use in BS 6580: 2010, ASTM D 3306, ASTM D 4985, SAE J 1034.
This guide helps users understand and effectively utilize ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze. Designed for universal engine cooling systems, it provides year-round protection against corrosion and freezing. Note that while it offers broad compatibility, ensure your vehicle's specifications align with its two-year lifespan.

FAQs
What is the shelf life of ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze?
The product itself has a long shelf life when stored properly in a sealed container, away from extreme temperatures. However, for optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the coolant every two years once it is in your vehicle's cooling system.
Can I mix ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze with other coolants?
While ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze is compatible with most coolants, it is recommended to use it on its own for the best performance and to avoid potential compatibility issues. Always flush the system before switching coolant types.
What type of water should I use to dilute the antifreeze?
Use distilled or deionized water to dilute the antifreeze. This prevents mineral buildup and corrosion within the cooling system.
How do I dispose of used coolant?
Used coolant is considered hazardous waste. Dispose of it properly by taking it to a local recycling center or hazardous waste disposal facility. Never pour coolant down the drain or into the environment.
How does the bittering agent work?
The bittering agent in ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze is designed to make the coolant taste unpalatable, discouraging accidental ingestion by humans and animals.
Does this product meet industry standards?
Yes, ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze meets or exceeds industry standards including BS 6580: 2010, ASTM D 3306, ASTM D 4985, and SAE J 1034.
What is the recommended mix ratio for winter conditions?
A 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water provides protection down to -20°C. For colder temperatures, you can increase the proportion of antifreeze, but do not exceed a 70% antifreeze to 30% water ratio.
Troubleshooting
Engine overheating.
Check coolant level, inspect for leaks, and ensure the radiator cap is functioning correctly. If the issue persists, consult a mechanic.
Coolant leaks.
Inspect hoses, radiator, and water pump for leaks. Tighten connections or replace damaged components.
Premature coolant degradation.
Ensure correct coolant mixture, avoid mixing with incompatible coolants, and check for signs of internal engine damage.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Universal application, suitable for a wide range of vehicles.
Provides excellent corrosion protection for engine components.
Offers protection in both summer and winter conditions.
Contains a bittering agent for safety.
Complies with industry standards (BS 6580: 2010, ASTM D 3306, ASTM D 4985, SAE J 1034).
Cons
Requires proper dilution for optimal freezing protection.
May require specific procedures for disposal of used coolant.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze is compatible with all engine cooling systems. However, check your vehicle's manual for specific coolant type recommendations.
Dilution: Can be used undiluted, or diluted with water. A 50/50 mix provides protection down to -20°C. For extreme cold, a higher concentration of antifreeze may be needed, though the ratio should not exceed 70% antifreeze to 30% water.
Procedure:
Allow the engine to cool completely before opening the cooling system.
Drain the old coolant from the radiator.
Flush the system with distilled water if desired.
Add the appropriate amount of ExoPro Standard Blue Antifreeze.
Top up with distilled water if needed to achieve the desired concentration.
Ensure the system is properly bled to remove air pockets.
Care: Regularly check the coolant level and condition. Replace the coolant every two years as recommended.
