Product Information
Full details
The Wychwood Riot Tactical Landing Net is designed for serious carp anglers who require a reliable, high-performance landing tool that balances strength with weight management. Its primary benefit is the combination of an ultra-stiff carbon handle and lightweight tapered arms, ensuring fast, controlled netting even in difficult conditions, though its 6-foot fixed handle length may be cumbersome for anglers restricted by compact transport storage space.

FAQs
Is the handle of the Wychwood Riot Tactical Landing Net telescopic?
No, this model features a fixed 6-foot carbon handle for increased rigidity.
Can I replace the mesh if it gets damaged?
Yes, the mesh is designed to be removable from the arms, allowing for replacement or cleaning.
What is the total length of the net?
The handle is 6 feet long, and the net head span is 42 inches.
Is the ABS spreader block durable?
The ABS block is specifically chosen for its combination of high-impact resistance and lightweight properties, making it well-suited for regular use.
Does this net come with a carry bag?
The product typically ships with the net components; check your specific retail package, though a dedicated carry case is often sold separately or included based on the specific SKU bundle.
Troubleshooting
Arms are difficult to insert into the spreader block
Ensure no grit or sediment is trapped inside the block housing; rinse with clean water and inspect for debris.
Net feels loose or wobbly at the block
Confirm that both arms are fully pushed home into the block channels until you feel them click or seat firmly.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-modulus carbon construction for superior stiffness
- Soft, fish-friendly mesh protects sensitive scales
- Secure Japanese shrink wrap grip for wet-weather handling
- Lightweight design reduces fatigue during extended sessions
Cons
- Fixed 6-foot handle is not collapsible for compact travel
- 42-inch size may be overkill for smaller commercial water species
- Spreader block requires careful alignment during setup
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To assemble the net, slide the tapered arms into the ABS spreader block until they seat firmly. Attach the mesh by threading the arms through the designated sleeves before securing them to the block. For compatibility, the 42-inch arms are standard for most specimen nets, but the fixed handle length means it is best paired with rod holdalls that accommodate 6-foot sections.
Care Instructions:
- Always dry the mesh completely before storage to prevent mold and unpleasant odors.
- Rinse the carbon handle with freshwater after use in silty or muddy environments to protect the finish.
- Avoid leaving the net in direct, intense sunlight for prolonged periods to maintain the integrity of the carbon finish and shrink-wrap grip.
- Check the spreader block connection points periodically for debris buildup.
