The Wavin Tigris K1 patented design is engineered to optimize the benefits of a composite metal-plastic press-fit system, delivering an optimal solution for sanitary, potable water, and heating applications, including recirculating systems. Its patented hexagonal head shape requires low insertion force for assembly. Due to the flexible nature of multilayer pipe, Tigris K1 requires minimal fittings, reducing installation time and cost, and improving flow rates. The metal layer in the pipe ensures resistance to oxygen diffusion and dimensional stability. Thermal expansion is comparable to copper. Plastic layers in the pipe provide flexibility and corrosion resistance, with high resistance to scale build-up and stress-cracking. It offers high pressure and temperature resistance. The quick, simple, and safe jointing method results in installed cost savings compared to traditional systems. It features a defined leak function to reveal unpressed fittings during pressure testing. The proven press-fit technique eliminates the need for soldering, welding, or thread-cutting, and avoids the need for costly hot works insurance permits.
