This guide is for network users seeking maximum speed and reliability, particularly gamers and professionals working with high-bandwidth applications. The Kenable Cat8 Ethernet Cable offers significantly faster speeds and higher frequencies than previous categories, ensuring optimal performance for modern devices. A minor caveat is its specialized nature, making it most beneficial when paired with compatible Cat8 networking equipment.

Cat8 cables offer significantly higher speeds (up to 40 Gbps) and a higher frequency (2000 MHz) compared to older categories like Cat6 or Cat7, enabling faster data transfer and better performance for demanding applications.
Yes, Cat8 cables are backward compatible and will work with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and Cat7 ports. However, you will only achieve the speed supported by the slowest component in the connection.
The flat design is intentional for easier and more discreet installation, allowing the cable to be run under carpets, along walls, or through tight spaces with minimal visual impact.
Yes, the Kenable Cat8 cable features SSTP (Shielded Screened Twisted Pair) shielding with full copper strands to effectively eliminate crosstalk and interference from nearby electronic devices.
Yes, the full copper construction makes this cable suitable for PoE devices, allowing it to carry both data and power to devices like IP cameras, access points, and network switches.
Cat8 cables are specified for use up to 30 meters (approx. 98 feet) for achieving their maximum performance specifications.
Ensure both ends of the cable are securely plugged into the correct ports. Verify that the network devices at both ends are powered on and functioning. Try a different port on your switch or router. Check if the cable is damaged.
Confirm that your router, switch, and end device all support Cat8 speeds. If not, speeds may be limited by the slowest component. Ensure there are no other bottlenecks in your network. Check for software limitations on your device.
Inspect the cable for any kinks, bends, or damage. Ensure the cable is not routed near sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Test with a different cable to rule out a faulty connection.
Setup: Simply plug the RJ45 connectors into the corresponding ports on your networking devices. Ensure a secure connection by gently pushing the connector until it clicks into place. The flat design allows it to be easily routed under carpets, along baseboards, or through narrow gaps.
Compatibility: While backward compatible with Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6a, and Cat 7 ports, the full speed potential of Cat8 is realized when both connected devices (e.g., router, switch, computer) also support the Cat8 standard.
Care: Keep the cable free from sharp bends or excessive stress. Clean the connectors gently with a dry cloth if they appear dusty. Avoid exposing the cable to extreme temperatures or moisture.
