Full details

The Moon Sport Rigel Pro is designed for dedicated cyclists who demand high-visibility lighting for both urban commuting and trail riding. Its standout feature is the powerful 1000-lumen output combined with an anti-dazzling lens that balances illumination with road safety. While it offers impressive versatility through multiple modes and smart sensing, users should note that the unit’s advanced features require a brief learning curve to master the automatic sensing transitions.

FAQs

How do I toggle the motion sensor?

The smart sensing feature can typically be activated or deactivated by holding the power button for a specific duration in the standby state—consult your manual for the exact button sequence.

Can I mount this on a helmet?

The Rigel Pro uses a Garmin-style mount. If you have a separate helmet-specific Garmin mount adapter, it is compatible.

How long does a full charge take?

Using a standard USB Type-C source, a full recharge generally takes between 3 to 5 hours depending on the power adapter output.

What is the SOS mode for?

The SOS mode flashes the universal international signal for distress, which can be useful during emergency situations or group riding incidents.

Is the bracket compatible with aero bars?

The bracket is designed for standard round bars. For aero bars, you may require a specialized third-party adapter that supports the Garmin interface.

Troubleshooting

Light does not turn on after charging

Check that the charging cable is firmly inserted and the port is free of dust or debris.

Smart sensor acting erratically

Ensure the light is mounted at the correct angle so the sensor is not obstructed by cables or accessories.

Unexpected power-off

The light may be in an intelligent mode that activates standby based on inactivity; try disabling smart sensors if you prefer manual control.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward using the included Garmin-style quick release bracket, which snaps onto most standard handlebars without the need for tools. To ensure long-term performance: 1. Keep the `USB Type-C` port clear of debris; 2. Wipe the aluminum heat sink with a soft cloth after muddy rides to maintain cooling efficiency; 3. Charge the battery fully before long night rides to ensure the 74-hour maximum runtime is available. The unit is water-resistant, but ensure the rubber charging port cover is fully seated after every charge to maintain the IPX 7 seal.
