Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, ensure your vehicle is equipped with a standard four-bolt flange-style tow bar. Align the hitch base with the mounting holes, insert hardened bolts (of the appropriate grade for 3.5T towing), and torque them to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
Maintenance Tips:
- Inspection: Regularly check the tightness of the mounting bolts as part of your pre-towing checklist.
- Cleaning: Wash the hitch after exposure to road salt or off-road conditions to preserve the zinc coating.
- Lubrication: Keep the tow ball clean and lightly greased to reduce friction with the trailer coupling head.
- Storage: If the hitch is not in use for extended periods, applying a light coat of corrosion inhibitor can prolong the life of the finish.
