Setup, Compatibility & Care
This rose is supplied in a 4 litre pot, already gift-wrapped. Upon receiving, carefully remove the outer gift wrapping. The plant is established and ready for planting.
Planting:
- Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil.
- Dig a hole twice the width of the pot and to the same depth.
- Gently remove the rose from its pot, loosening any tightly bound roots.
- Place the rose in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface.
- Backfill the hole with soil, firming gently around the base.
- Water thoroughly after planting.
Care:
- Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry periods, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged.
- Feeding: Feed with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and again in early summer.
- Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead or weak wood and to shape the plant. Deadhead spent blooms during the flowering season to encourage more flowers.
- Pest & Disease: Monitor for common rose pests and diseases. Ensure good air circulation to help prevent issues.
