The Oakcrafts Oak Dowels are designed for woodworkers, carpenters, and DIY enthusiasts who require reliable, structural components for furniture assembly and custom joinery. These 20mm x 200mm dowels provide excellent mechanical strength for reinforcement, though users should note they are a fixed length and diameter, requiring precise pre-drilling to ensure a perfect fit in specific project designs.

Yes, they can be easily cut using a handsaw, miter saw, or hacksaw to fit your specific project needs.
While oak is a durable wood, we recommend using exterior-grade wood glue and a protective finish if the dowels will be exposed to significant moisture.
A standard 20mm drill bit is required for a proper fit.
Yes, being natural oak, they accept wood stains and paints very well, allowing you to match them to your existing furniture finish.
This pack includes 8 individual dowels, each measuring 20mm in diameter and 200mm in length.
Lightly sand the surface of the dowel with medium-grit sandpaper or check that the drill bit used matches the 20mm specification.
Ensure the pilot hole is clear of debris and that you are not using excessive force; consider a small chamfer on the end of the dowel to guide it into the hole.
To ensure the best results, always use a high-quality 20mm brad-point drill bit to create perfectly circular, clean-edged holes. For a permanent bond, apply a thin layer of wood glue to the dowel and the hole before insertion. If the fit feels too tight due to slight humidity-induced wood swelling, lightly sand the dowel surface. Store the dowels in a dry, climate-controlled environment to prevent warping or moisture absorption, which can compromise the integrity of the joinery.
